November 2022: Listening to tenants about rent levels and housing service budgets

To inform their decisions on the housing budget for 2023/24, Cornwall Council held a listening event in November. Council officers, the Portfolio Holder for Housing and Planning, and 10 tenants attended. The Council listened to tenants about rent setting and spending priorities. The discussion was used to form their budget proposals at Cabinet.

Cornwall Council also considered:

- Tenant views from the "STAR tenant satisfaction survey"
- Tenant views from the "Your Home Your Views survey"
- Key themes from tenants’ complaints
- 12 case studies about tenants’ experiences managing with the cost of living.

Take a look at the summary report from the listening event.

December 2021: Torpoint Fire Safety Engagement Project

In Autumn 2021, we engaged with residents in four blocks of flats about fire safety. 67 residents gave feedback through the initial survey. 13 of the residents volunteered to discuss how we can improve our fire safety engagement. Take a look at the full report.
