Genie Hub Community Open Days

The Genie Hub project helps residents living in sheltered housing to use technology. This allows them to maintain their independence.

Residents living in sheltered housing, friends and family, social care professionals, volunteers, GP surgeries and anyone that would like to be involved in the project are invited to attend.

By joining the Community Open Days, attendees can see a hub in action. Chat with staff and residents about how technology enables you to interact with friends and family. It can also be useful for seeking housing support, or speaking to their care and support network.

Nyree Laugharne, Independent Living Services Manager at Cornwall Housing, said: “We are always looking at different ways of doing things, and our new Genie Hubs are definitely different!

By using unique software and robotics functions, we are tackling huge issues. These include loneliness and isolation, digital inclusion and community engagement. We would love for everyone to be a part of this project.”
